Mountain Guide Gaz ski touring in Tignes/Val d'Isère, France

Three weeks of tremendous fun since leaving NZ: a week in Tignes, France, then ski touring in Central Switzerland followed by rock climbing in Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. During the IFMGA/UIAGM meeting in France, Iris enjoyed fantastic skiing and Gaz had interesting discussions about the mountain guiding industry. Apart from indoor meetings there was an avalanche workshop above 3000 m around the Grande Motte. The second last day saw everybody gathering outside to enjoy the vast terrain either free skiing or ski touring and the last day finished with a ski race and gala evening.
