Many thanks for the annual ski touring trip. Great weather, great organisation, and the trip from Centennial Hut to Chancellor Hut was a classic. Plus which, visiting “my” glacier was a bucket-list tick. Gary tells me this was my 15th adventure with New Zealand’s leading boutique guiding company which probably says it all! Many thanks.

Wanaka Spring times and Alpinism & Ski adventures
The local ski field Treble Cone has just closed and we had a blast on the last day:
Skiing is not over yet as ski touring is happening for probably another month, conditions are great out there with plenty of snow and this week certainly also a splendid high over the Southern Alps
Tour du Grand Combin and soon ski touring in New Zealand
Iris just spent 6 days with Leysin friends Yves and Laila hiking around the magnificient mountain areas consisting of several Combin peaks, the highest over 4300 m. Saw stunning alpine flora and fauna, traversed a glacier, tasted food and wine in the Swiss and Italian huts and just loved this week long alpinism adventure in true European summer weather. A very rainy front is on the way through but Gary is still planing to climb the Bishorn tomorrow.
